When your talking about what a hike coming up Ulric St is, I hope your not talking about the bus or tram that Sandag proposes putting up Ulric st? Why would we want that? We don’t need it, it will invade the Community that we have and put a strain on us.
Love this newsletter and eat up every word. The TV dinners at Lazy Dog sound interesting. The Lego sign is doable. You have a great vision. Now follow through. Rally the troops! I recently saw a video of a man with one arm who built a prosthetic arm out of Legos for himself and it worked so well, he built one for a young child with no arms. Legos changed their lives! Lastly, I went with my husband and granddaughter a few times this year to the Linda Vista Park for the summer nights and WOW! It was fantastic! It really brought out the families and changed my perspective of Linda Vista Park. I always thought to stay away because of gang activity or homelessness but now I think I might have a family BBQ there.
In conclusion, this newsletter was informative and entertaining. Thank you for all you do.
The idea of a prosthetic arm made of Legos is fascinating!! Linda Vista park is really a nice park. I am glad its reputation is changing for the better.
The idea of making a Linda Vista sign out of Legos is ridiculous. Wanting tourist to come to Linda Vista to take pictures with the sign to me isn’t anything we would want. Why would any tourist want their picture with the sign and why would we want a bunch of tourist coming to LV? LV is a proud Community and we want to do things for LV to bring us up and help each other. Convoy area is known for all the restaurants that serve for the most, asian food and other countries. So putting up a sign for them is because of that reputation for San Diegians and Tourist. Linda Vista has not always had a good reputation with other areas of San Diego. But, over the years we have done a lot to make it a better Community and a great place to live. I just don’t understand your always wanting to bring tourist and other people in . I think we have great people here and we all know what a great place it is to live! We’re all concerned about just making Linda Vista, our Community, as best as we can, together! There is a sign at the bottom of Linda Vista Road and at Ulric St telling people there entering Linda Vista. Let’s use that money for something we really need in LV that will benefit all of us. I think the people of Linda Vista who have been here for decades and grown up here, would understand what I mean.
I couldn’t agree more. The last thing I would want is tourists to come in and out of my Linda vista! That’s why I propose an alternative to the outlandish (and frankly uninspired) Lego sign. I propose putting up a big sign that actually discourages ppl from coming into Linda Vista. I also think, to be eco-friendly, that this sign should be constructed out of Lincoln logs rather than legos.
Thank you for your comment. I guess that based on your comment I will have to cancel my plan to advocate for holding next year’s Comic-Con as well as the Democrat National Convention in Linda Vista?
The right-on-red scenario presents a classic philosophical/ethical dilemma. Very normal to feel conflicted there. If you find yourself questioning that yield-to-pedestrians sign too though, things get very interesting and this newsletter takes a real dark turn.

I agree, I think other avenues that can lead in and out of San Diego would most certainly strain us!

This newsletter will never turn toward the dark. We aim to walk in the Linda Vista light.
