The Linda Vista Update

Editor’s note: Due to a couple of administrative and logistical situations we will not publish a regular issue of the Linda Vista Update this Thursday morning. We will, however, return next week with great vim and vigor. In the meantime, we want to leave you with a few images of Saturday’s Linda Vista Multi-Cultural Fair and Parade, which went on despite the occasional raindrops. As you can see from the below photos, the entire staff of the Linda Vista Update participated in the parade. We enjoyed a friendly reception from the audience. Fortunately for us, it did not rain during the parade. We are sorry to report that our very own Carnivore Sidekick was not able to participate in the Fair’s inaugural Lumpia Eating Contest. Apparently, while practicing last week for another food contest, he incurred a nagging rotator cuff injury while practice eating with a pastrami sandwich. The Fair was a fun, celebratory day of good food and music, and celebrated our community’s cultural diversity.
